Workout App not measuring swim distance

Hi,
I have a Apple Watch serie 4 (GPS only) and the Workout "Pool Swim" does show the distance during the swim. Once I complete the activity, the iOS activity app shows correctly the distance.

It used to work fine.

I have the latest watchOS 5.2

Any ideas?

I’ve had this happen once or twice. A restart fixed it at least until it happened again a month later.

I've had this twice, my wife has had it one.

Restart the watch to fix it as mentioned.

See further down, I posted the same issue the other day. I rang Apple, the tech said try resetting, I haven't swum yet but have started the activity walking forward mimicking arm motion, have done this a few times and it is counting so fingers crossed. He said if it persists then unpair/repair, but not at that stage yet.

restarting the Apple Watch worked!

I restart it so not often that I did not even thing about doing it.
