Either you wore your invisible cape, or the watch or iPhone couldn’t GPS locate temporarily.

The workout app will add those dots when the accelerometer detects you are skipping. Good cardio.

Interesting, I have never seen this in my days of using an iPhone 6 and iPhone SE - Only recently since I got my iPhone 8
