I downloaded an application called Tangerine that was supposed to be magic- but alas it did not live up to its own hype, unfortunately. I'm hoping to find some kind of software or iTunes feature that will scan my entire library and assign average Beats Per Minute (BPM) to the songs. Then I want to be able to tell it how long of a workout I intend, and manage (perhaps minute by minute) the average BPM of the song. This way, I can have it slightly slower during the warmup, then ever increasing in intensity until it reaches and maintains a certain plateau of BPM until I'm ready for it to start dropping back down for cool down. It'd be awesome if it shuffled songs of similar BMP or BMP range so the playlist isn't linearly the exact same list of songs in subsequent workouts. Anyone have any ideas on how this can be done (easily and mostly automatically?) Thanks!
