World of Warships Game Freezing or Quitting - Need Help Please

I have a 2017 iMac 27" stock with 16 MB of RAM. I have been playing World of Warships (WOWs)for several months with no problems until the last upgrade and over the past few days, the game freezes and I have to Force Quit and re-enter several times during a single "battle" during which I lose valuable flags and points from lack of ship control. OF I am simply expelled from the game. Yes, I am not very computer "smart" and 76 years old. The "Support" at WOWs consists of "canned" replies with little real help. I play the sister game world of tanks.

well used to game no longer opens on my iMac.

I contacted there support 3 times with zero reply.
I even messaged on their facebook group to.

You've tried uninstalling/reinstalling the game. Had the same problem after another update and this seemed to help.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the OS as well as game (had other issues too)
