Nice addition to the line up, this is one channel I won't hide. I grew up watching classics like (Andre the Giant, Mr. Perfect, Hulk Hogan) if they put some old content on, coupled with a few WrestelMania showings I might subscribe.

I'll just have to be careful not to be dumbed down  but seeing classic matches is worth the risk.

I'd rather see boxing, this kind in particular.

All WWE, WCW and ECW PPVs will be available for streaming.

I knew there would be douchebags bashing WWE in this thread. Either way, I'm glad it's coming to Apple TV. I'd rather watch it on my Apple TV or one of my huge gaming consoles.

Yeah no kidding. Oh look at the high brow audience we must have here perusing Mac Rumors. We'll drink our tea and only watch Downton Abbey...

Meanwhile there is no other tv product out there that combines athletic prowess with theatrics, special effects/pyro and live scripted drama. The writing isn't always at the top of the game. But name a tv show that goes weekly year round for decades that is written on spot every episode? Every show has duds.

Let's see you people create some entertainment before you go bashing a multi billion dollar creative empire.

I haven't watched WWE in probably 10 years, but back in the "Attitude" era is was very entertaining for me. Big, dumb storylines going from week to week. The "WWE Network" is going to have their entire video back catalogue, so I'll be able to take a trip down memory lane maybe.

Hate on it all you want, but some Apple fans enjoy it.

Apple Just Buy Aereo Already, Please!

Drop an App on the AppleTV and BOOM Live TV on AppleTV!

How about real apps for real networks like USA, TBS, ect. that *already* have iOS compatible Apps with live streams?????

They have been having more duds then hits over the past few years. Like I said, CM Punk's shoot back in 2011 was the only thing close to getting me back into watching.

Now they are refusing to give Daniel Bryan who is ridiculously over with the crowd a real push. They gave the main event at WM30 to a 45 year old Batista who was never really a big star to begin with while having Bryan feud with Sheamus(yawn) for his WM match before CM Punk's walk out.

And of course Diva's matches are just bathroom breaks now. Where they used to have Lita, Trish, etc who were attractive and actually knows how to wrestle.

I still want the WWE Network to do well and think that the success they have will hopefully shift other sports properties into this type of subscription-based model.

This, 100 times this. Regardless of how you feel about the provided content, the increasing availability of content in this distribution model is only a good thing, and hopefully it's successful enough to shift the market to making more services like the WWE Network (new content on zero (PPV) or slight (current TV shows) delay and an extensive back catalog that is constantly available (not disappearing and reappearing at the random will of the content providers)) available.

I don't disagree... everything since Summerslam has been abysmal at best... the entire RR was saved because the crowd pooped on the entire show. And Batista winning the RR after his return was spoiled is just plain lazy writing, change the gameplan...

But regardless, the WWE Network is the biggest game changer to TV since Netflix started streaming and could be the model of the future for TV. This is innovation and it's amazing that this huge sorry bunch who bitch and moan that Apple doesn't innovate anymore sit here and bash a company that just decided to innovate.

This my friends is how Apple is making it into main street. By dumbing down to meet the masses. :(

you have it backwards -- apple sells whatever content the people want. if customers want WWE on ATV, apple will help make that happen.

get over yourself.

i would prefer to count the hairs on my arms then watch fake wrestling

why would you want to want to count your arm hairs before watching wrestling?

oh, you mean "than" watch fake wrestling. grammar.

Definitely an icon I'd like to be able to delete, along with Disney and few others. ;)

PS - anyway, it's great that Apple TV can do more and more. But maybe it's time for app store so we can choose what we want? I, for example, would LOVE to get Plex and Spotify...

Is hiding them not good enough?

Enable restrictions. Then select the app you don't need/want and update its restriction from Show to Hide

But guess what is getting the blame for the crowd pooping on the product? The fans! WWE is said to be considering not returning to Dayton due to the crowds reaction and blames them for ruining the RR.

It appears their attitude is the fans better eat and like the crap they are shoving down our throats if they are blaming reaction to the RR on the fans, not the product.

If I understand correctly, a $9.99 subscription provides access to 12 Live PPV broadcasts? That's an absolute steal, considering each one is around the $50-$60 range. Hopefully, UFC and others will follow a similar pricing model. It just seems like a great way to cut out a ton of middlemen to provide content directly to fans.
