(Another alternative would of course have been to exchange the internal SSD, but prices here even for used ones (and not those by OWC) are currently more than 150 euros, and exchanging it voids your warranty.)

Thanks for the update. With the storage sizes of the past MBAs as they are, I think this is a great topic.

Thanks for the update. Just a comment though... exchanging the flash storage in a MBA does not void your warranty (at least in the US). Even though Apple might like you to believe it voids your warranty, that is not the case. The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act prevents companies from applying these "you can't replace anything" types of restrictions on warranties.

I chatted with the English Apple support about this matter and their statement was that it voids your warranty. Good for Americans if it doesn't :p

Wanted to quickly share my experience.. Been using PKParis 64GB USB3 stick for about a month now - so far so good. Love the design and the tiny size - the stick feels like a natural extension of my MacBook Air. The stick is speedy - I am getting pretty close to their advertised read rates (~120MB/s). Write rates are significantly slower, but still a lot better than any USB2 stick.

But again - the size and design are the killer feature. I can finally leave this stick in my MacBook at all times, even when carrying the laptop in my bag. One other benefit of USB vs SD is that just about every device has USB port, so it makes a stick a lot more versatile than SD card.

Overall, been quite happy with my purchase thus far.

Yeah, it is very small.
It have nice reading speed (120) but very low writing speed(-20/25).
