I'm worried that the dev team is running into some real problems. They were set for Wednesday and it's now Friday. Either way I'm willing to wait. Anybody have the inside scoop

I never heard anything but Friday, ever.

Does it really matter? It's not like they've all been sent to jail. You can wait a few more days.:D

I've been watching it since Wednesday, and I'm starting to worry as well.
Oh well, what can you do?

Worst that's gonna happen is that YouTube will not run on unlocked phones not running on AT&T.

These guys are dedicated. Obviously, they want this as complete as possible before they release it.

I think some of you are just worrying about being impatient !

True, but MuscleNerd said yesterday that the problem with Youtube extends to push notifications as well.

Hey don't get me wrong.. the fact that they had this thing ready for release before the software came out is awesome. I'm more worried for them coming onto unexpected problems

Even if they run into unexpected problems, its only a matter of time before they figure things out. They have always came through, we just have to be patient. :)

Ultimately, the Dev-Team are programmers and problem solvers. Knowing what I know about programmers who are problem solvers, they want their product to be as perfect as possible. Their reputation rests on it. So they don't wanna release anything that isn't as perfect as they can make it. My guess is they are working their butts off to get the problems resolved before they release it.
Ask yourself this question - could you release a product that is inferior, knowing that a little bit more effort could make it superior?

I know from personal experience, I don't release anything I do until it is error free and I have lost countless hours running down annoying little problems.

I guess I'm sayin - be patient, it'll happen and when it does, you'll be glad you were patient.

thanks for your efforts, hard work and contributions, Dev-Team!

yeah I've dealt with buggy devteam releases before... one of the 2.0 jailbreaks messed up wifi so it didn't automatically join new networks. Small bug but it made my iPhone almost unusable... so I'd rather wait than have to deal with a buggy release.
