This type of stuff only happens to me....

Good news I lucked out yesterday and found a Ipad Air 2, 128gig Silver Wifi/Celluar at Best Buy. After ordering online for a store pick up, I drove 45 minutes after work to pick it up. (Was even more excited that I was able to use the 10% coupon, thanks to this board)

Anyway, On the way home at a stop light, (close to my house), I decide to take it out of the box and look at it. And what do you know, It was bent. I drove 45 minutes back to the Best Buy (now doing 125mph) to exchange/return it. It was a miracle they had one left.

To make matters even worse, I really wanted to the spay gray but took a chance on the silver. Guess what? I don't like the silver, so it's going back...... Only me.....Only me... :)

You know, as gorgeous the packaging is for Apple's iproducts, I've always hated that the devices are always flush against the top of the box. Wished it was more in the center with support on both too and bottom of the box. Did you notice if the box was damaged in any way?

Actually, I know several people who worked at multiple Best Buys. Apparently handling items with care is not one of their primary concerns. Its likely you were a victim of terrible employees.

I can't believe it either, it would never be allowed to leave the factory in this condition. I can smell the rat here. Looks like someone tried to perform the bend test ;)

LMAO. I barely have enough money to pay my X-wife every month let alone bend a brand new 800.00 tablet. :)

I'm sure that it did not come out of the factory in that condition. Given that the packaging of iPads generally have no shock resistance it could have easily happen during the transport/freight process. Did the box have any signs of damage? With iPhones and iPads and no cushioning, I always examine the box before I take it out of the store.

Op, are you sure it had not been opened before? I bought a digital camera from Best Buy and get home and find it was a returned camera. Battery was in the camera and contents of the box in disarray. I had to argue with the manager for 30 minutes till I showed him the warranty card and receipt from the previous owner.

I do not shop at Best buy anymore.

sucks dude, can't believe they let that pass QC.

It probably bent in the shipping process... Or a bad one got thru....it happens when you sell 12 million devices in a few months. Go into the store and exchange it.
