I've always cringed when I heard McCartney sing (in "Live and Let Die")

And in this ever-changing world
in which we live in

Although I wouldn't consider Shaun Ryder a great artist anyone who wrote ...

"Son I'm thirty .. I only went with your mother cos she's dirty ... and I don't have a decent bone in me ... what you get is just what you see yeah!"

.... deserves not to be on this rather short, daft list..

I know there are songs out there with only a few words repeated endlessly for the whole song, but none come to mind atm. Those always smack of a lack of creativity for the writer..

"All I Need Is a Miracle" by Mike & the Mechanics - a good song, but incredibly simplistic, redundant lyrics..

Womanizer

Apparently that guy is a womanizer.
Repeat it
over and over
eventually EVERYONE
will know he's a womanizer.
If not, you can just jump start your career again by repeating another word over and over.

Circuses come to mind....

Eventually everyone will forget all the crazy.
And remember the pop teen we once all knew and loved.

I love Guns N' Roses but the song "Anything Goes" bothers me

"I been thinkin' bout, thinkin' bout sex, I was hungry for something that I haven't had yet"

AARRGGGHH!

Just pick one of several KISS songs. "I wanna rock n roll all night, and party every day" repeated about 50 times.

Almost anything by Journey. Some of the cheesiest, sappiest lyrics every to show up in rock.

I don't follow new music at all but on the way into town my sister put the radio on, amongst the trash was a song with some lyric-

"Are we human or are we denser?
My sign is vital, my hands are cold
And I'm on my knees looking for the answer
Are we human or are we denser?"

... What. The Killers I think they were called. And as if by magic my brother next doors playing some song about a girl having turntables in her eyes, nutters!

Link? Thats what I've always heard. It makes sense.

According to John, it was about a drawing that his son drew of a woman named Lucy in the sky with diamonds.

I think that John was FOS. That song was inspired by, if not about, LSD. It just wasn't acceptable to write a song about drugs at that time, so they had to make up something to reduce the controversy.

Yeah, that does make a lot of sense.

Sugarland's "All I Want To Do".
Ugh. Most annoying song ever!

The Killers lyrics are actually "Are we human or are we dancers?', which I'm sure you'll agree makes much more sense...

Haha, it's actually "Are we human or are we dancer". No "s" at the end of dancer. Anyway, that song is just weird. However 'I can't stay" by The Killers is a great song.:)

The Doors and Queen do not belong on there.

Really bad lyrics, as the site says, seems to belong to more recent music.

Nah, The Doors belong. "C'mon Baby light my fire" Repeat 80 times. End with "Try to set the night on FIIIIIUUUUURRRREEE!" Plenty of cheese there.

I love Guns N' Roses but the song "Anything Goes" bothers me

"I been thinkin' bout, thinkin' bout sex, I was hungry for something that I haven't had yet"

AARRGGGHH!

Wasn't "aiieeeiiiieeeeiiii" an original Axl Rose lyric?

How on earth did Bohemian Rhapsody get to be on that list?

:confused::confused:

Rock Opera is an acquired taste.

Not 'Faithfully', surely? :D

I agree about Kiss - Although Detroit Rock City was good.
