no kidding. lighten up buddy :) some people really like modding computers. and i must say that modding something as pretty as a mac is hard to do. apple spent a lot of time moving things in just the right places to make everything neat and clean. with that, it makes it even more difficult to mod.

All they are is Neon lights and paint jobs.

Real modding requires and power supplies, round cables, huge cooling solutions so overclocking can be undertaken, and last but not least, a Hack Saw.

Yes, a hack saw, to cut in new fan ports or that second CD bay you've always wanted in your G5.

At least they didn't put a MS sticker on it ;).

i can't stand modding. i mean on a PC, why not, they're just crappy boxes that n thought went into. but Macs have a design that i hate seeing screwed up. To me, it's like a personal insult to Ives every time someone cuts up their Mac to put some ugly-ass childish sophomoric neon lights or bad metallic pimped-out paint on it.

But, just my opinion :)

I mod my PeeCee, but wouldn't dare touch my mac. Granted, my mac is an incredible piece of engineering and the PeeCee is a piece of crap put together by myself. But I do think the paint jobs are kinda sweet. But whatever... To each his/her own!!!

The title

"Worst thing to do to a Mac" is misleading ... i was waiting for something to blow up or be dropped, or whatever

It's just a paint job ...

It's like the kids that add neons and body kits, and 10 foot formula one spoilers, and redwood sized exhaust tips

Maybe tasteless ... but people like it, whatever

It just reminds me of the people who mod their Hondas. It's not something that I do, but to each their own. If they love their computers, how the creativity, and they want to express themselves, I say let them, it's better on their desk than spray paint and graffiti all over the streets.

I agree..i was expecting something horrible along the lines of zoolander style....*shutters*

well I wouldn't say it's the worst thing you can do to your mac, but definately the ugliest. hmmm... the worst thing I can think of is throwing it out of a moving car or 5th story window. now thats harsh;)

I thought that stupid music was part of the movie I'm watching on my second monitor... what kind of person puts that kind of music on a website in this day and age?

/wearing thin.

I am installing Xenon headlights on my G5 to beat those guys... hehehe

I agree with original poster. The G5 deserves a little more respect.

You mean a dremmel ;) I can't imagine trying to make some sort of precise cut-out with a hack saw.
