Considering buying an iPad with 4G.
Is it worth buying one right now or will there be any game-breaking features supposedly on the next one?

Thanks

I'd say yes. Most drastic features for the new one would be thinner, smaller dock, and quad core. The current one is pretty quick. I see no reason it wont last 3 years at least.

I also say go for it:eek: i got mine a month ago n i love it. Its no point waiting the new one til next march ! And i dont believe that a new one wil come out earlier so enjoy it man !

Definitely will do this. Thanks for the heads up!
Can you buy them in the Apple retail store?

You cannot buy refurb units in store. You might however be able to ship the refurb unit to your local apple store.

absolutely. I use my ipad lte with ios6.0b4 and the navigation is even better than navigon. Just for the GPS alone, it's worth it - think about it - 9.7" navigation! You can't even buy a head unit with 9.7" display.

Aside from that, the LTE comes in handing WHEN you need data for that month. It's worth it. As for the next ipad, crap, you can't plan like this or else you would be waiting for ipad 5.

What's changed in iOS6 that makes navigation any better? Curious how an OS upgrade can do this with the same hardware and same Navigon app.

I am purchasing one tomorrow from Target. You get 45 days from Target which will cover the keynote. If a new one is announced that is worth the upgrade, I'l simply return the "old" one to Target.

The entire turn by turn navigation in iOS 6 is remarkable from the graphics to the accuracy to the way the 3D pans and tilts and shifts. Even some cities I travel along to have 3D vector buildings.

Navigon is great but not as smooth as ios6b4's navigation and not as accurate. The rerotuing is extremely fast in ios6!

Best part it's free!

i bought my ipad 2 in january. if youre always waiting for the next one you'll never buy one, im still perfectly happy with mine.

The only groundbreaking feature that may come out on the next iPad is tactile feedback where touching the screen will feel like different textures such as paper. But I wouldn't hold my breath for that to happen next generation

Just a heads up on the refurbs. First, a great deal, I bought one Friday. If you want Applecare+ be prepared to fight the "coverage starts the day you buy it" issue given they come out of China and there is bout 7 days worth of transit lost. They will tell you need to go the Apple store to verify condition.

If you are near a store great, I wasn't and they graciously waived that requirement. You can also successfully argue for the coverage to start on the delivered date by escalating. 7 days is 7 days.

why wait? you still have like 6-7 months.

Maybe if it was like 1-2 month, but this quantity of time is worth the purchase now.
