So I have had my mbp(in sig) since last April. All the sudden today, I am working on my lab so I have excel, word, itunes, and mail open. My cpu is up to 90-93C and not going down....

These tasks are very non-demanding of a computer, why is mine getting so hot over this?? Should I call Apple? I have Applecare.

Thanks.

No it's not worth calling Apple over. Office apps are obviously not using that much CPU. Have a look at your activity monitor and see what eating up resources.

Have you checked your CPU load and activity monitor? Maybe something was running in the background at the time it was getting hot. Is it still getting hot doing what you were doing? If so, doesn't hurt to give Apple a call. You did pay for Applecare :)
