So, I got my 3G in October, where I signed up for a new 2-line AT&T account. Now that the 3GS is out, I want it, but on the iPhone line I would have to pay the full $600 price to get a new iPhone. I checked how much it would be to upgrade the other line, and it's only $400. So, should I pay $400 for the 3GS? Is it worth it?

Thats not really a question anyone here can answer. What I consider "worth it" probably isn't the same as what you or someone else would consider "worth it."

It's your money, do what you want with it.

This is a decision that only you can make. I feel that it's worth $499 for me to upgrade to the 32GB 3G S, but that may be because it will only cost me $50. I sold my 16GB iPhone 3G for $450. You can do the same thing, and the cost to you will be even less than $400.

I amalso debating over this.

I either pay 400 for the 16 gig now, or wait until july 12th for full upgrade

Couldnt you just sell your current phone for close to $400 and use that to buy the new one? And, next year what will you do?

Well, at least you only have to wait till July 12, I'd have to wait until June 15, 2010.

I suppose, I don't think an 8GB would get that much though. Next year, I'd upgrade the other line, since the contract for that would have ended by then.

Well, I upgraded to 32GB. I expected to pay 699, but was actually pleasantly surprised at the 499 price. Worth it?

My husband would say "NO" because he does not care about cell phones in general, apple in particular.

But it's worth it to me. I am really into the iphone and I would be so disappointed at not having the new one.

So really it's up to what you want to spend your money on.

I love Apple too, and I think I will eventually decide to get the white 16GB 3GS.

One more question, I have a jailbroken 3.0 beta iPhone 3G 8GB, how much do you think I could sell it for?
