So obviously i want to upgrade my puny screen iPhone to the new (hopefully) bigger upcoming iPhone.

I wanted to know how much would guys be willing to pay for a FACTORY unlocked 64gb black iPhone 4s with no scratches, original box/accessories included, Full Apple Care till October 2013.
I bought it originally for $1089 with tax included.

    Thanks

Go to eBay (or your local area Craigslist) and search for the going current rate yourself.

You're not going to get $1089 here, that's for sure. eBay is where you're going to get the highest price, but there's tons of bad buyers and scams on top of the fact that you're paying an enormous final value fee.

Honestly. It's probably worth about $600 on Craigslist.

I have seen 16gb 4s go for $350-400. 32 gb go for $420-450. 64gb go for $500-550 on my local Craigslist.

So factor in another $50 for unlocked.

Or you can risk it and go international eBay selling. That's where you will get the most return for your money. But that's risky with eBay scams going on.

AppleCare really doesn't add value cause phone is already under warranty for another 4-5 months.

Just remember most people in USA use gsm iPhone on AT&T or straight talk etc. so they don't need or care if it's unlocked.

    Yes, there's tons of ways.
They can say you didnt send them an iphone or its not working or other bs.
I'd try the CL first with a cash sale and meet at a safe public place.

I agree! Put it up on Craigslist and make sure you add on a few extra dollars from what you would settle for. I sold a 32gb 4S for 550 but put it up for 625.

I'm shopping around now for a 32/64 gb 4s on Craigslist (NY) and have found several in the $500 range, so putting it in the 600s somewhere should give you a little wiggle room.

Worth is always highly subjective. It's your call to make.

As always, check the comps. No need for every single potential seller to post a dedicated thread on the topic. Look at comparable recent sales. It's like selling anything else.

Yes, and signature confirmation also and still got scammed.
They believed the buyer, he did a chargeback with his credit card and they took the money back out of my account.
    Some people are terrible.

Yikes, that sounds just awful. My iPhone is on ebay at this very moment and that story has me worried about scum trying to rip me off. Crossing my fingers. I haven't had any bad luck yet.

Hope yours goes well, not all people out there are like that.

Got the same phone and my research shows $550-$600 on the high side.

PayPal is always a risk. I'll be using CL to sell mine.

    ----------

Wow, where did you sell it?

I brought a unlocked iPhone 4S on ebay for £350 cash this morning, witch is half the retal price of £700. Looking on ebay, the 64GB is selling around £400 not including seller and paypal fee.
