Hey guys and gals,
I have an original Apple Watch Series 0 that is still a little beast in its own right. I recently started increasing my fitness goals and using the watch more and more frequently. I noticed that the HR is not always reliable and that i'm waiting for apps to load up (one of the apps I use doesn't even show HR anymore). Long story short, I run frequently and work out constantly and am considering upgrading to a GPS Series 3..should I? I checked out the display model at a Best Buy store and was blown away by how fast it was........but it is it worth upgrading?

Thanks ya'll.

Without a doubt worth the upgrade. I went from the S0 to the S3 and its a night and day difference. I still have my S0 as a backup and its painfully slow.

Thanks friend. I thought I was being ridiculous since there isn't anything really WRONG with it but it's good to see a S0 owner able to recommend the upgrade.

At first I wasn't going to, because I didnt think it was that big of a deal. But I purchased it on impulse and so happy that I did. There is no lag in the workout app anymore, and the watch is actually useful. There is a lot more that I feel I can do on it because its so much faster.

Impulse buy for me too and I was actually very surprised at how good the upgrade was as I thought my S0 was still great.

100% yes. I went from a S0 to S3. The S3 is almost a completely different device. On the other hand, I gave my S0 to my wife and she is loving the fitness tracking. So the S0 still has utility, just nowhere near the same extent as the S3.

Aside from the speed considerations with the faster dual core processor with the Series 3 and GPS, almost everything else has been improved as well with the 50 M water resistance, brighter display, audible Siri, and the battery life is rated at 18 hours, but is much stronger over the Apple Watch models.
