I'm only really here at night.
>>>Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A405 Safari/7534.48.3)<<<<

Is this REALLY necessary, to see this every time someone posts something from their iPhone, taking up space in every post ?

Can the board software parse/block this text string out or be modified to do so...........

I agree. It's a pain to always have to delete that when quoting someone. Who cares what device or software is used to post?

AFAIK, it isn't possible to get rid of. It is a function of the mobile forum software, and not vBulletin.

The text is small enough that it really doesn't bother me as much as some people.

I never even really notice it when browsing the forum. But as Arn said, it'll be going away soon-ish! :D

And when browsing from the mobile site, all that text doesn't display at all.

The mobile forum platform is not vBulletin? Are you saying you're using a platform that relies on vBulletin's database?
I think that's unlikely. And even if so, that'd make things even easier. Every script can be modified, and removing that header added at the beginning of the body message should take no longer than 1 second (finding out the line could take longer though).

This is what the mobile site runs on.

That's much better. At least it's only one line and two words so doesn't take up valuable real estate when using Tapatalk to access MR. Good job :)

Much better on the desktop site. :)

I love browsing on the mobile forums as I find it easier to read on a handset but the old text that was added to the top of a page was annoying.

One thing I can't stand is overly long Tapatalk signatures, I don't see many of them here though thankfully.
