All of a sudden we're suppose to press icons harder - without knowing which would respond to harder clicks. Inevitably some screens would crack, right; especially if people are pressing it wrong / hard continuously? Would there be a big surge in iPhone screen repairs?

(You'd have thought they'd dropped shadow or something on 3D touch capable icons.)

When LG can make a glass that flexes (LG Flex, obv), I'd be pretty confident that Apple's glass has some give to make up for the pressure. i don't think it'll be an issue.

P.S. Not everything that goes wrong has to be a freaking "gate". Ugh.

I'll bet they haven't thought of this.

You should email Tim ASAP.

The OP is prophetic! I bet it hasn't even been thought of by the Apple engineers!!!

Well they did mention a new display glass that's supposedly the hardest in the industry. They learned their lesson with Bendgate.

Nope. If you used an Apple Watch you'd know that this won't be a problem. You don't have to press really hard to make it work.

Will some people crack their screens and blame it on pressing too hard to activate 3D Touch?
Absolutely

Will someone have a demo on YouTube on Launch Day
Without a doubt

Just like some people claim they baby their iPhone obsessively and yet it bends, scratches, cracks, scuffs and every other problem ever conceived

Will it really be a problem?
Nope, not even

Too bad that hotel wasn't called Watermyphone. At least then when these posts come up we could read about "Crackmyphone" or "Bendmyphone".

It has not been a problem on the apple watch, and you have to push with a pretty good amount of force.
