If you weren't actually serious about this it would be the your funniest quote ever :D

And you're not really missing much as far as I'm concerned. They're fun sometimes, but in the end its too many people and music played too loud....

I prefer more intimate places where you can actually talk to someone and have them hear you without yelling.

D

I think that you know me by now Mr Anderson. Yes, I was serious. Thank you for that comment, it means a lot coming from you. ;)

I was always brought up, and I still believe, that in many circumstances "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all."

Sure, nightclubs might not be your thing, but some people (not me) get a kick out of them.

Gee, kind of reminds me of a debate often heard around these parts.

My idea of a good club is at least 2-3 buzzing crowded rooms of great music (house, drum & bass etc.), various interesting-looking characters, and a bunch of illicit substances...

Same here, but without the illicit substances. I love good house music, and I could go for some drum & base if it was any good.

I don't go to clubs anymore though.

Paris Helton is the embodiment of everything wrong with society. She has no discernable reason for existence as far as I can tell. The only way I would go is if she was serving drinks or some other menial task that was far beneath someone of her elevated social status. I might even leave a five-dollar tip! ;)

Anyone who is called a personality doesn't have one.
Any country with "democratic" in the name isn't.
And lastly, anything with "science" in the name may or may not be scientific -- vide Creation Science, Christian Science, Science Diet.

Paris falls in the first of those.

To add: political science, managerial science, business science, and any other oxymorons I missed.

The saddest part about Paris Hilton is that she has everything we want and will never have, and yet she is probably less happy than most of us - if her attention-whoring is any measure. Such a waste of a fortune, to spoil a child.

F that club.

Lately I've been out of the club scene; can't talk in a club, plus the ones in my town are all too trashy or too pretentious. (or is that just me?)

Guys, I dont know if you realize how ridiculous you are by bashing her. Of course she is a spoiled child but you are saying stuff like:
- no right to drive a Ferari
As far as I know if you can afford the price tag, you can have one! Of course she wont drive it to its full potential, but if YOU would, you are part of the jerks who drive like crazy and take ridiculous risk. I rather like seing an innocent girl drive a sport car than an guy who think that he is a pro driver getting off the road.
- she is probably not happy
They did a survey some time ago here in Canada that totaly shock me: 62% of the population said they werent generaly happy in their life! Ask around you, ask them what they enjoy in life, what they dont. You will see that for most people the dont will outweight the enjoy by a large margin in number and in time! Reasons are numerous: bad job, no money, no love, stuck with a wife without passion, etc... There is a reason why people watch so much tv: its the easy way out of their living craphood!

BTW, I am not deffending her. I find her kinda cute, I am sure she isnt that dump when out of the camera but her quest for popularity totaly put me off. This girl would do anything to be in the news and for me, thats very low.

Now about the bar. I dont know howmuch the cover would be and stuff like that but if I was single, I would definatly go there. It would be a challenge to my flirting skill! I never paid a drink to a girl and it would be a nice challenge to convince a girl to pay me a 60$ cocktail ;-)

You're right of course.

Except she didn't buy it:
Khalilian put almost $3 million into upgrading the space. Hilton didn't put up any money and was made a partner. She also received a substantial up-front payment and a Ferrari, which Hilton described as "hot" after jumping into it to pose for photos.

I believe they're called "race tracks" ;)

O.K. I don't think anyone would bash her for being rich and at least I wouldn't even bash her for being born rich. The problem is her fame. Why does she comand so much media attention. As far as I can tell, she has no talents. I think in a world were the famous signers don't really sing and some famous acters really can't even act, do we really need Paris. And O.K. I did make a remark about her social status, but that sort of stuff does get under my skin. One can be rich without beign any ass to the "common" people

You cant blame somebody for being born into wealth. It's just the way the world works - some people are rich, some are poor. Life's a bitch. :)

I'm sure many of you would be thinking differently if you would be speaking differently if you'd been born into families of enormous wealth - in that situation you just learn to deal with it and get on with things..

BTW, does anyone know where the majority of her fortune comes from? From what I know, none of the hilton family are even on the hilton board..?

just my opinion ;)

She clearly is talented at drawing attention to herself. She must appeal to a lot of people because without that appeal the media wouldn't waste their time. I personally find her sister much more attractive.

IIRC, it's inherited wealth. Her grandfather (Conrad?) founded the hotel chain. Paris's parents just got the $$$ when Conrad passed away. And they indulge Paris and Nicky with large sums of money.

Paris is hardly a good advertisement for her mom and dad's parenting skills. Nicky is slightly better (no videos in the wild, yet). There's two more younger (male) Hilton children to bespoil the world still further.

My problem with Paris isn't her wealth (who cares?) but her attitude. At times she comes across as quite sweet and slightly naive (some of her antics during the Simple Lie), but most of the time she comes across like her character in South Park: obnoxious, rude, insensitive and totally self-absorbed. Oh, and she's really way too thin. And has bad fashion sense. And stupid dogs. Apart from that, she's truly wonderful in every way...
