I have a late 2008 unibody 15" macbook pro and I am considering selling it for a brand new 15" macbook pro. Would now be a good time to sell it? I have apple care until october 14th and I wouldn't want it to die on me any time soon. Looking on the completed listings on ebay, my model sells for around 800-1000$, but mine does have some dents so I am looking at around 800$ after fees, optimistically of course. So I figure I will be adding around 900$ for the lower end 15" model just so I can have a faster laptop, but with a longer lifespan. oh, and thunderbolt... One thing that is keeping me from selling it and getting a new one is the next macbook pro redesign which I have no idea how long it will be until it comes out, but that is the one I have my eyes on. Do you guys think it would be worth it to sell my mbp? Or should I keep it until the new one comes out, in which my model will probably sell around 300-500$ if it is still working.
