Lets say its:
marginal camera quality bump,
maybe 64/256 storage bump, optimistically but with a lot of skepticism that that will happen
A11 of course with lets say modest increases in performance,

and ProMotion being key feature, 120hz motion handling in 10.5/12.9 gen 2 iPads

Would that be enough to get a 7s/7s+ over 7/7+ for you?

Or would you go iPhone OL8D Edition or bust?

The 120hz improved motion in 10.5/12.9 gen2 iPads

proMotion is the silly/terrible apple marketing term for it

I'll clean up op
Oh, ok. I get it.

Does the design of the phone change when all this happens or does it look like the 7 (which looked like the 6s, which looked like the 6)?

If the phyical design doesn't change then…no.

Since OLED will make its way to the standard models beginning 2018 - 5.5 first (and 4.7 in 2019 at the worst projection)...I doubt Promotion will come to the iPhone anytime soon.

similar to "Retina"

Retina at least made sense. High resolution screens for the masses to understand even though a fluff marketing term that has its hypocrisies.

ProMotion is terrible- nothing professional about needed to rip through iOS menus at buttery speeds, and gaming with it

And ProMotion is easily mistaken for 'promotion' so people always say "what's the promotion on 10.5 right now?"

:D

retina makes as much sense as, saying you can get healthy fast food. Your retina is a layer on the eyeball which forms an image. And Fast food is unhealthy.

I actually give Apple credit for using the term 'Promotion'. Granted, it does sound rather cliché. But their marketing department is the best at what they do for incorporating the word "Pro" (Being it's an iPad Pro) into "Motion" (Given how fluid the display is with the 120 HZ display.) Its actually a brilliant tactic and it adds separation to the iPad Pro line.

I have a hunch they won't be adding ProMotion to the iPhone lineup for a little while, but if they do it will definitely only be in the iPhone 8. That's a typical feature that would separate a higher tier phone from a lower. Something that adds to the experience, but doesn't detract if not had.

care to elaborate?

Chick-Fil-A has a "superfood" side option (hilarious name for what it contains) which has broccolini and kale, along with walnuts and dressing. Various fast food places have fruit sides, salads, etc.

You can easily go in there are eat mostly healthy (as long as you avoid soda and fries, it's usually not that bad). The problem is, you don't go to a fast food place to order healthy.

I would say that's more fast casual (different menu, and type of customer)

I'm unlikely to be enticed by anything if I'm happy with my current hardware, which I am. I suppose that makes me atypical.

It's clear to me you don't understand the various nutritional requirements, and with that your requirements for various types of food. Not all fast food is unhealthy. It comes down to choices made, and sometimes the way it's prepared. At a higher level, it may also include what goes into the ingredients used to make the food.

A salad can be a meal, if it's big enough.

Dressing is pre-made, at any fast food place. It's just like buying dressing at a grocery store...

I love my 10.5 iPad Pro, but I would not buy an iPhone 8 if ProMotion was the
main upgrade. If I had bought last years iPad Pro, I wouldn't have upgraded to
this years iPad Pro. I upgraded from an IPad Air 2.

Any place but here or there....
Nope. I love ProMotion on the iPad Pro and especially with the pencil. Not sure it would work well on a phone screen and do not need speed scrolling/refresh rates on a phone.

Now, an upgraded SE? Yes, please. With ProMotion, now I would rather have an SE and an iPP for my commutes than the latest and greatest iPhone.

:p Fixed that. This woman needs a lot more than a salad as a meal (as much as I enjoy them).;)
