Would reinstalling blacksn0w from Cydia unlock my iPhone 3G

I have the iPhone 3G
3.1.2 Firmware
5.11.07 Baseband

So i had blackra1n app on my iPhone until my friend [who's buying the phone] accidentally deleted it. I tried inserting the T-mobile SIM Card and reinstalling Blacksn0w but i wasn't sure if it worked [When i download it, it says "Size Mismatch" and i figured it might be the strict wifi access that is causing the problem]

Now i am stuck on whether i have to restore to 3.1.2 and re-use Blackra1n
Please Help

Yes, try restoring to 3.1.2 and then install blacksnow again to unlock.
Make sure you dont go up to 3.1.3 by accident.
