What would be the chances of the iPhones 5scamera lens scratching if spun on a table? I know the lens cover is made of sapphire crystal which is strong but do you think spinning it would cause it to scratch?

Sapphire is the second hardest substance (diamond being first). Unless the table you are spinning it on happens to be diamond studded you aren't going to scratch it.

The aluminum back though and the glass pieces on the top and bottom are a different story.

Tungsten carbide is about the same hardness as sapphire, I think it would be possible to scratch it with that. Of course, I doubt you're spinning your phone on a table with chunks of tungsten carbide on it.
