The Pro stand doesn’t provide a VESA mount.Just wondering: would the pro stand be able to handle an iMac Pro? (with a vesa plate)
the standard imac pro stand is not that ideal, never thought it was and by using a (i know its a grand) pro stand would be nice to have...
It is available with a VESA mount
Ah, now I see; I assumed the VESA adapter could be used on third party screens. But it is solely to VESA-mount the Pro display. The Pro Display XDR has a VESA mount adapter, but you can't attach that adapter to the Pro Stand. The Pro Stand just has a magnetic connector that connects directly to the Pro Display XDR. The VESA mount adapter does not have a magnetic connector on the back to attach to the Pro Stand.
The Pro Stand and Pro Display VESA adapter cannot be connected in any way.
True, still: I would prefer a height adjustable and swivable stand opposed to the current iMac stand...Also, there would be an ugly colour mismatch between iMac Pro (space grey) and stand (silver).
Lots of other options for well under the $1000 Apple charges for the XDR stand.True, still: I would prefer a height adjustable and swivable stand opposed to the current iMac stand...
