I purchased a new iMac back in November but recently the tab and caps lock keys stopped working on the Bluetooth keyboard. Has anyone ever returned part of their iMac for a replacement/refurbished one? Is that something that would be covered under warranty or is it just the computer itself?

Thanks,
Andy

How long is the warranty? Possibly return the keyboard only?

On the receipt is shows 1 year. I believe it would also be the same if I bought the keyboard separately. I would like to return the keyboard only. I'm just wondering if anyone else has ever done that.

The keyboard is part of the computer and is covered under warranty. All you need to do is go to an Apple Store for a genius bar appointment or contact AppleCare. You don't need to bring the iMac in, just the serial #. Just bring the keyboard and the iMac's serial # and they will swap it out for you.

Or call Apple....they might just send you a new keyboard and tell you to trash the old one.
