Would this adapter work for a wired iPhone data transfer?

I want to do a wired data transfer from my iPhone 11 Pro to my 12 Pro today. There aren’t any Apple Lightning to USB 3 camera adapters available today where I live. Would this adapter work? As far as I can tell, I would just power it with USBC rather than USB3 and it is otherwise the same.

I don’t think phone to phone wired data transfer is a feature in iOS. But hopefully someone can correct me.

iPhones still only have USB2.0 controllers in them.
So this could be slower than a wifi or iCloud transfer, depending on your wifi and internet speeds.
