Hello,
I was wondering if this would work in a macbook pro?
I know the macbook uses 2.5" drives, and this is a 2.5" drive, but the reason I ask is here is a 120gb ssd for $700, when heres a 128gb ssd for $3,000!

Thank you!

It doesn't say how tall it is. There are two standard heights for laptop drives; 9.5mm and 12mm. The MacBook Pro will only accept the smaller of the two. You need to find that out. Apart from that it looks OK.

If you'll look on the right side and click the "Specifications" tab, it tells you that the height is 0.38". Which, comes out to just about 9.5mm. Perfect.

He means the 15" MacBook Pro, that is. Weird as it may seem, 12mm is received by the 17"

Before you go and buy this, I recommend you read the "Pros and Cons" of this drive. The rating doesn't look that good.

The next thing you should ask yourself is "why would I need or want this". For 120GB of storage, $700 is a lot of money to spend. Does the increase in speed justify the expenditure?

I started with a 160GB disk (not SSD) in my MBP. Within a few months, I was running out of space so I upgraded it to a 250GB disk. Well after 6 months with that, I again was running out of space and just recently upgraded to a 320GB drive.

My 320GB drive cost me less than 1/2 the price of the 120GB SSD drive you are looking at.

Just my 2cents worth.
