i want to to make a workflow renames my anime automatically
that searches a smart folder ive got containing all, the episodes
    eg.
search folder and finds "[DB]_Bleach_208_[191E1D38].avi" and makes it look like "Bleach 208.avi"

    would it be possible?
i cant find actions for the specific renaming i would need
getting rid of selective parts of a name

if anyone has a idea how i could do this automator or not let me know

    thanks

Haven't used Automator to know off hand how to do it, but one alternative is a program Name Mangler which does pretty good and should be able to handle that. You'd need to set it up as a regular expression.

Nope, this is too complex for Automator. Its great for actions but anything complex with variables involved is not possible.

If all of your files have the same number of characters, you could use Name Mangler to just cut the first 5 and then the last however many. that way you could avoid using regular expressions.
