pretty sure op socket wont work, but would a regular case be ok for the 8/x?

I was thinking about this today, and how that will work with these charging pads as the PopSockets will not make a "flat" connection - should be interesting.

I for one love the PopSocket, and can see it being REALLY handy for the iPhone X and how low the dock icons are, so I would probably pick the ease of use over the wireless charging if thats the case.

First hand experience here!

My popsockets will not allow it to make a good connection to the wireless charger. It will Connect at first, but then looses the connection within like 30-60 seconds.

Really sad about this! I love my popsocket! I’m pretty sure I’m going to choose my popsocket over the wireless charging feature too

I can confirm: my iPhone X wirelessly charges on a Samsung Fast Charge with a slim case, AND Popsocket on (obviously collapsed). I was shocked it works!

I've been curious about this too. I don't have a Popsocket but I do have a Spigen ring on mine. Anybody know if the wireless charging will work with a Ring Holder?

The metal may interfere with the wireless charging. This is why Apple switched to glass backs instead of aluminum.

I have a HUMIXX thin case w/pop socket and I’m using a YOUSHARES fast qi charger and I can’t get it to charge.

The bottom of the pop socket is about an 1” 1/2 from the bottom.

I used to have Samsung fast charge pads but now I have Choetech fast charge pads! They have INCREDIBLE range and work amazingly with my iPhone X and popsocket. Not sure if this link will work: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/263187836494

They were $15 each when I ordered 4 of them and now they are $45 so wait til they drop or look elsewhere for them. Amazon sells the non-fast version if you want too.

I have a Spigen ring on my iPhone X. At the Att store I tested charging with Samsung’s new leather Qi charger and it worked great. So I bought the wireless charger. And at home it doesn’t work! Strange huh?!

Different QI chargers have different surface distance to charge ratios. You have to find one with the greatest distance for using a pop socket. My kid uses these, so I did some research, and THIS has turned into my favorite QI charger. I can confirm it works perfectly with a case and a pop socket on...

I use an Apple Leather case with a wireless charger it works great. I can put 8 pieces of copy paper in between the phone and charger and it will still charge with the case.

I gave my mother a wireless charger for Christmas, not realizing she had a pop socket on hr iPhone 8+. We just couldn’t get it to work. She said she never really used the pop socket anyway, so I removed it. Might have worked with the popsocket in a different part of the phone back, but I’m guessing it would need to be near the edge.

I have a pop socket and a case and it works for my iPhone X with the mophie wireless charger, it must be close enough to the pad to still charge.

If you are uncertain, you can always go into an Apple shop and test it out

I am planning to get a mophie case wich can wirelessly charge(for the iPhone 8 Plus) but I was wondering if the phone would still wirelessly charge with a pop socket on it.

Has anyone used wireless charging with a Loopy case? Similar to a ring, but larger and rubbery.
