Well if the iPhone 5 was released in the typical release cycle, I'd be okay with it, not happy.. but wouldn't complain too much.

Because they have delayed the typical release time, I'd hope they have something very very exciting up their sleeves. Personally I'd love 4G, bigger screen, better battery, 1GB RAM, and a new form.

I don't really care about bigger capacity. I have a 16GB and it's fine for me.

Same 3.5" display and same design as iPhone 4 with the only changes being: - Nope, i'll switch to android.
Apple A5 processor - This is already a given.
768MB of RAM - Nope, need 1GB
8MP rear-facing camera - If there isn't a better sensor, then i want to stay as far away from more MP as possible.
32GB and 64GB - Yes
iOS 5 - Really? Duh.

I'd walk, those specs don't make the grade. Personally I think right now all smartphones are in a bit of a funk, kind of become about as fast as they can given their respective networks, about as big as they can get where you won't look like an idiot holding it next to you head, and any thinner and all durability is probably gone.

Glad to know I'm not the only one wondering exactly how much thinner a phone can get. Introducing the next phone, it's only 3mm thick :O

I'd be happy if the next iPhone has-

1. Screen- Anything is okay, even the current 3.5"inch one
2. Processor - 1GHz Apple A5 dual-core
3. 1GB RAM
4. Option for 64GB version
5. 8MP rear camera and a better front camera

I'm quite sure Apple won't do that since they want people to upgrade every year.

This poll reflects exactly, in my mind, why the next iPhone will have a larger screen. It is clearly the one feature people want most in the next iPhone. Apple is completely aware of this. Therefore, it will have a larger screen.

8MP camera seems pointless.

Even with 5MP there has not been one time where I have cropped so much or printed so large that it would make any difference at all.

On the downside 8MP will bring larger file sizes and more noise.

The iPhone 4 camera is already terrible in low light (too much noise). An 8MP will probably be worse.

I'd like to see a 3MP camera with a high quality sensor/lens. That would provide better pictures most of the time.

Well rumors out of Europe and Korea are suggesting that carriers have only got 16 and 32gb iPhone 5's in their systems... I'm hoping it's not true.

A bigger screen is becoming a must-have for me to justify an upgrade. Apple would have to do something pretty amazing if they ignored screen size to get me to get the iPhone 5
