Other than this being in violation of the EULA agreement, it's a great option.A lot of smart consumers are turning inexpensive Thinkpads into hackintoshes to run Xcode. Here's one that cost him $45.

The difference in pricing tells you a lot about the devices themselves. The iPhone is expensive because Apple knows it's a popular device, it's a device of value to people. That's demand, demand means you raise your prices. The OnePlus is cheap because sales are much lower than iPhone, and you lower your prices if you have more supply than demand.

I don't know how you know enough about the way the masses to generalize about 'tons' of people. Maybe it's figure of speech but people have their individual reasons for their purchases and you can't lump them into one bunch or even assume the masses are saying enough.
And keeping the supply lines narrow, goes against getting profits earlier rather than later.
And this whole doing as much on one phone compared to another is hyperbole. There are countless threads on MR relating to this and it's clear there is a dividing line amongst the fans that has little do with the reality of how many people seemingly use their phones on a day to day basis.
I think some just want a hive mind to tell them their cheap phone is okay. Personally I have no interest.
If cheap makes you happy, rock on, there is a market and consumer for cheap. You want to eat up the whole "flagship killer" silliness, good for you.
Personally I'm not joining your party. I like it just fine in the land of flagship iPhones and Samsung's. Might all be the same to some, sure as hell ain't the same to me.
You got it all wrong. The masses do t go online to crave justification. The masses buy the product they want. And say whatever hyperbole you want about Apple and if you believe it to be true, the same should apply to Samsung purchasers.Different market segments needy people craving online justification/support for their respective purchases. Apple has plenty of those folks. Not everyone sees value in spending $1000 CAD or $850 USD for the most basic 7+ because the 7 itself is an underspeced joke.
I agree, Note 7 had great specs... Oh waitDifferent market segments needy people craving online justification/support for their respective purchases. Apple has plenty of those folks. OnePlus 5 any day.Only around 1/3 of the next iphone price...which one would you choose? By the way OnePlus5 price in China is cheaper then the global version for the same phone and it would be around $333 US dollars.
