guessing this is more aimed at those who have the 512GB as I'm guessing those are the main ones who would buy this model?

those on 512GB would you say thats more than enough or that you don't have loads of space left?

I guess if you don't use a computer 1TB phone would be handy. Or you know, an external SSD support. :)
I periodically backup my photos to my drives because i don't like the clutter, and i stream mostly everything because i have a decent data plan

I have the 64 gb 11pro max, after I had the 256 gb XS Max. I only use around 30 gb of storage and 48 gb storage in iCloud. I just take a few photos (who will upload to iCloud) no videos, no movies, 3 games and maybe 30-50 apps. I don’t need that

Whenever I purchase an iPhone, I purchase the maximum capacity offered at the time. I've had a 64GB iPhone 5, a 128GB 6+ and a 128GB 6s+.

So, to answer your question, if 1TB were offered as the highest capacity model, that is what I'd buy (if I were buying).

I have the 512GB 11 Pro, using around 120GB currently. My usage is rapidly increasing this year as I am using the phone a lot more for shooting 4K videos.

512GB is my 'standard' for devices and laptops, so I can't see it changing anytime soon.

128gb is what I'd be interested in. Right now I use 25gb out of 64gb and everything else is in the cloud. Having extra space is nice but the cost of the increased capacity never comes close to paying itself back when you sell the phone..

128GB would be the best for me. I don't use my phone for music, and only sometimes as a camera (If I had an 11 or Pro I would probably use it more for this purpose) so I see little need for more than that.

I would buy a 1TB iPod Classic/Nano if it were released though. I have enough music to fill a 512GB unit.

In a heartbeat. I have a 512GB 11 Pro Max, and I still don't have all my music collection on it. I spend enough time on the subway that I don't stream music or video during my commute, and it's great not having to offload photos or videos after each vacation or life event.

well I'm on 256GB model and I only have 58GB left due to over 100GB of tv shows/films plus optimised photos are on...so takes up more space

I am on a 256GB to and I think at some point I will get a 512GB and possibly a 1TB.

I would love to have both a 1TB iPhone and 1TB iPad, with all the scheduled power cuts we have here in South Africa, I tend to download as much of my Netflix, Apple TV+ and YouTube content as possible to be ready for when the power cut hits our area for a few hours, which is usually around 2-4hours, depending on how much power they need to save on the grid and the schedule for our area.

I also love having my Music and Podcasts sitting on my phone, streaming all the time is not ideal when there are so many dead spots e.g. while driving.

If half a terabyte is filled up due to media, perhaps it's time for the user to review what needs to be kept and put the rest in the cloud or external storage. I can't see how there was any actual needing keeping a half a terabyte of media on the phone.

Nah. If you stream music, don't download every single app you see, unload your pictures or store them in the cloud, and have a Netflix/Hulu/Apple TV+ account, you'll find out that even 64GB is enough.

Now if Apple released a 1TB iPod Classic with bluetooth capability and 72h battery reserve ... shut up and take my money.

If the user finds themself suddenly traveling halfway around the world to take care of family in the hospital where there's no wifi and crappy cellular, the user (and the patient) would probably be grateful one has a bunch of books, Game of Thrones seasons 1-5, plus a handful of movies readily available on one's mobile device. 😉 That said, the user (and the patient) would likely appreciate having said media on a 13" iPad rather than a 6" phone. 😅

I have extensive growing media libraries as well as an ever growing body of personal files/media, all of which I would love to have with me locally always on my phone. So there is basically no limit to how much storage I would want on my phone.
