Pretty sure the 10 was the "air", for now.

May I ask how well the original battery has held up in your Series 3 watch and how many times you’ve had to replace the battery? Wasn’t the Series 3 released around 2017?
I have the original battery at 100% capacity. The watch is almost unusable as it hasn’t received a software update in a while. My watch stopped pairing to apple fitness plus in march. Nothing wrong with the hardware or battery lack of software updates causing problems.

Let’s say Apple released the “Apple Watch Air,” a very thin, minimalist version of the Apple Watch designed to appeal to those who prioritize sleek design, comfort, and simplicity over functionality. Would you buy it? And which features would you be willing to sacrifice for the “airiness”?
From an Ultra 2 user…. No thanks 😅
Battery life doesn’t coop well with thinness.

I hope you don’t mind me asking, but how is it possible that after 6-7 years, the battery is still at 100%? Is that normal for Apple Watches?

I used an android phone and two iPhone over that time and I don’t wear it all day. Only worn during daily workouts and when i go shopping. Also my iPhone XS is at 96% battery capacity and I bought that over 4 years ago. I guess I take care of my devices.

If you actually used it, it’s just impossible

It’s not normal. It is chemically impossible

Many Apple Watch (Ultra) owners here replied that you would never want a thinner watch, as it would negatively affect battery life. I’m curious – how much thicker could an Apple Watch get before it’s too much, if it meant even better battery life?

I’m not in the demographic for the ultra, but the flat bezel and exceptional battery life have me hooked. While I would like it to be thinner, I will not give up battery life.

Could the ultra get a tad thicker? If that significantly improved battery life, I get 3 days now and it were to go to 5 days… then sign me up!

I’m definitely not giving up battery life and my sensors for a lighter Apple Watch. I love my Ultra 2, and can’t imagine using a smaller Apple Watch. I still have my launch day Ultra 1, so I’ve been wearing an Ultra for over 2 years now.

"Thinner" means smaller battery

Besides, I love my Ultra 2, don't need anything thinner

I have an Ultra 2 only because I need more than 24 hour battery life. I wish they made a less rugged version of the Ultra that was a bit thinner and lighter, but had the same battery life. If they just take off the raised flat screen, it'd be almost a normal, but larger Apple Watch.

Once battery tech is revolutionized, and this theoretical Watch Air can at least give me what my Ultra can (at least two days), then I think I'd be on board with it.

I think I'd rather have an Apple Ring or something instead though.
