Ease up there. I wasn't belittling you for saying you had to have the heart rate sensor, I was pointing out how ridiculous it was that you said "Without the HR sensor it would be a useless device." Those are your words not mine, and you made a ridiculous statement. The Watch is far from useless without the HR sensor, and I pointed out just a few of its many uses. For me, those are the reasons I wear the Watch. I personally don't need or want any biomeasurement devices, YMMV.

All you had to say was my statement was ridiculous to you. Your statement is ridiculous to me. The HR sensor is beneficial to me because it monitors my irregular heart rate and alerts me when my HR go too high. It’s also one of the first signs that alerted me to my pregnancy in 2016. The S4 ECG feature has been awesome for me. I went further into depth regarding why I will not buy a Apple Watch without the HR sensor. Is it ridiculous now?

Yes, your original statement is still ridiculous. If a person is going to make a statement that a product in general use is wrong, thats a big difference from "wrong for me", and even more difference from "wrong for me because of all these reasons".

You don't qualify your statement, don't get upset when people take it for the way its written.

Now with that out of the way, I'm glad to hear the Watch helped you. Seriously. The HR sensor is right for you.

A question for you: if a separate sensor for HR/ECG was available from Apple or whomever, in a wristband or whatever, would you still call the Watch useless?
