I am in the market for a new 50" HDTV, and just wanted to see what you guys thought about buying Plasma TVs online. I found a heck of a deal on the model I want at BuyDig.com with free shipping, but I am just a bit concerned about damage to the TV during transit, warranty issues, and what not.

I don't know if there is any reason to be 'squemish' with the whole idea, but thought I should check with you guys before I made a mistake.

It would be faster/easier to just buy it locally, but the cost savings is absolutely rediculous!

    Thanks guys!

I have bought two from visualapex.com and one from onecall.com and haven't had any issues.

I know if you buy from Best Buy or something like that, you file all of your Warranty issues through them. If you buy from an online company, how are warranty issues filed?

Has anyone else bought online? If so, what are your experiences? If not, why not?
