I would love a 5.5" iPhone. However, I have the Note 3 (5.7") and my 8" tablet is still way bigger than my phone. Both can easily coexist.

No. 5.5" is way to big for my liking in a phone. Its just big. The 7.9" mini is perfect for browsing. The 4.7" iPhone would be perfect for ultra mobile browsing and other things. I do not want to hold a tablet to my face to make a phone call.

I do know people who are like the OP and would like to have an iPad mini with the cellular functions built in, but I never see it happening.

And right now my set up is perfect screen-wise. My iPhone is 1/2 the size of my iPad and the iPad is 1/2 the size of my MacBook Pro.

In a heart beat.

I've been a HUGE Apple fan since the 3G but a 4" screen just isn't good enough in today's tech world. If Apple doesn't release a significantly bigger iPhone 6 I will give a lot of consideration to going to the Note 3.

I have an iPad mini and would be happy to give that to my daughter if I have a 5"+ iPhone. 5.3 to 5.7 would be ideal.

good question, last year I tried the samsung galaxy note 3 and the screen was awesome. I am too :apple: dependant on the IOS ecosystem to switch so I came back to the iPhone but that screen size was something else. I don't think that I would ditch my ipad mini but I probably wouldn't carry it outside of the house that much any more.

My use case for my ipad is situations in which an iPhone screen is too small but a laptop isn't portable enough. That's not many situations, and a 5.5" iPhone would be "big enough" more often than a 4" iPhone. I think I'd keep my current ipad but not replace it in the future.

Of course, as others have said, it would depend on whether a 5.5" phone could work for me at all, and I doubt it could (due to not fitting in a pants pocket).

the pants pocket is a good point, back when I had a note 3 it was an issue. My 3 kids have severe allergies so I always carry 3 epipen with me so I have a messenger bag but if you don't it's an issue. There are belt clips but its still big.

A belt clip would be a deal breaker for me. I don't know way, but I just greatly prefer to carry my phone in a pocket.

No, never. In same way I wouldn't ditch my 15" MacBook Pro Retina for my 11" MacBook Air. Both are entirely different devices that fit different portal computing needs at different times of the day.

Apple isn't going to make a 5.5 iPhone anyway.
