To those who have Mac computers and iPhones, if you didn't have a Mac what would you do with your iphone?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2

This has to be the most absurd thread I have read here. Do you think iPhones only work if you have a Mac also? WOW. I would say put the iPhone in the same place as this thread should go...

I have Macs & a PC (even though I do not openly admit it), but have been using Macs since late 80's. iPhone came much later, so would keep my iPhone. Good piece of technology that works well for my usage. I can make it work with a PC or Mac so really no difference.

Yep. The iPhone was the gateway drug for me.

iPhone -> iPad -> Mac

I specifically got the Mac because I was fascinated with the style, absolute usability and attention to detail in the iProducts.

I would certainly be testing out other phones very seriously. The integration between apple devices really does keep me locked into the iPhone for now.

If you got rid of OS X for me, the iPhone probably goes too.

The ecosystem is probably what really keeps me on Apple products. If everything is going to be fragmented, might as well go with the best in each category of tech.

I've owned an iPhone since the 3G; way before I decided to purchase a mac.

The iPhone is kind of what got me into Apple products. And even if I didn't have a Mac, it wouldn't affect my phone pruchase decision.

Life long PC owner here. Doubt I'll ever own a Mac, but still love my iOS devices.

I don't have a Mac, but I really want one so badly.

I have had iPhone for almost 3 years without a Mac. The only way my PC and iPhone interact is loading my music. This wouldn't change with OSX.

It is really not that absurd.

In fact I can honestly say if it werent for my macs I would have an S4 or an HTC One right now. the ability for all of my devices to be completely in sync is what is currently keeping me with the iPhone.

I've used both Macs and PC'S for years. If I had to choose one it'd be the Mac platform, so yes I'd keep my iPhone.

However I'm beginning to think that Apple will stubbornly cling to its outdated, elongated, tiny display. If I had not had the pleasure of working on a spacious display like the one on my Galaxy S4 I wouldn't know any better.

Already years behind, the longer Apple holds out the more momentum they lose. While so far their sales remain strong, there's no denying the latest Android phones are serious challengers. Time will tell.

I had an iphone 4 and have built gaming machines for years.

Swapped to galaxy S2, Sony xperia s, Note 2 and now back to an iphone 5.

Nothings as smooth as an apple product.

Then sold my windows pc and got a late 2012 imac.

Then sold ma HTPC and bought an apple TV.

Then got rid of my windows tablet and have an ipad mini.

Wifes sold her laptop and now got a new macbook air.

Now i'm selling my router and gonna get an apple airport.

Nothings better than having everything apple. It all synchs on its own its amazing.

I'd probably keep my iPhone, but it would make me a lot more likely to look at Android/Windows Phone.

The tight integration between all my devices just makes it really easy to manage them and enjoy them, although they may not be considered the absolute best, feature-packed products on the market.

Although, after typing that, I still love my iPhone
