Tapered case! Typing is just more comfortable with the taper. I have an external battery for those times I need more juice on the go, very cheap and easy solution.

Even the early Macbooks and Macbook Pros had user replaceable batteries. The first unibody Macbook Pros even had convenient latch-opening hatches to allow access to HDD and battery.

I stopped by a pawn store today and saw some 2012 era MacBook Pros.

Tapered case is ok if it comes with extremely low weight like MB 12

Yes to both. Make it thicker, with a taper, with longer battery life and more keyboard travel.
