I really like these watch faces, especially at the weekend when I don't need calendar info, etc, but I do like having the weather and activity complications on the watch face all the time.

I guess I just don't understand why these faces don't allow complications. I guess I'll just have to stick with Mickey at the weekend. :(

I'm actually using the solar face. I love the look, especially how pretty it looks at sunrise and sunset. Wouldn't mind a few complications, though. There's certainly space for it at the bottom!

Yup. I basically run my watch face in 3 modes:
1) Modular with next calendar appointment front and center for work.
2) Simple when not at work but I want complications like Activity, Weather, etc.
3) Motion or Solar when the only info I want is the time.

Great looking faces, but they diminish what the Apple Watch can be.

I would yes. I currently have a simple face well three simple faces saves each with a coloured second hand to compliment the band in use.

Complications are health/battery/sun rise/set and date

I would prefer the motions face, but am using the simple face so I can have 4 complications - activity, battery, weather and date.

A huge amount of the value for me in the Watch is the complications on the face. Time, date, activity, battery level and weather-- all visible in a second with just a flick of my wrist?

Visually, I actually prefer the Solar one, but I don't use it because of its lack of complications. However, wouldn't the additional data detract from the look of the face? I feel like it's fine as it is, but just doesn't meet my needs.

Still, it wouldn't hurt to let people have the choice to add complications if they'd like. If others, like me, don't think it looks good, then that's our problem.

Yep. The only digital face that allows complications is Modular. I'd love more options in this area.

Agree. Love seeing the complications when I glance at my watch. It seems rather obvious to me that we should be allowed to use them on all the faces...

Not really.. There's a minimalistic approach to those watch faces and I appreciate them the way they are. They look beautiful without being surrounded by complications.

I do agree that the minimalistic look is pretty, but having the OPTION to add complications would be good too. Let the user decide if they want to go minimalist or they want complications

Yes, I've definitely been thinking this way the past few days. I just looked for a thread to discuss this and MR did not disappoint!

I really like solar and after trying it a bit I'm surprised at how much I like astronomy. Haven't really given motion a real shot, but I don't particularly care for it yet.

I really want to have a weather complication. That's one of the things I was excited about with the Apple Watch. Then the activity complication would be a nice-to-have but not a need-to-have. All the others I, personally, don't care about.

Solar should definitely have either 2 in the bottom corners or one stretched across the bottom (weather would be great for that). Astronomy... well that one's a little bit tough since the corners are all filled already. Apple would either have to allow the pre-sets to be changed or add one on the left/middle. Left/middle would probably make things too crowded, so I'm hoping eventually we can change the presets.

I do use motion but I sure wish it had complications and I could change the text color. Also wish color face could add numbers around the clock.

EDIT: I felt like solar really killed my battery but I don't see why any watch face would be harder on the battery.

Agreed. Solar would be my favorite watch face if I could add a weather complication at the bottom. Doesn't really make any sense that you can't since there's plenty of room at the bottom. Hopefully Apple will change this at some point.

yeah they really need to add this feature to add custom things to it.
There's no use to them until they do

And the drought of complications on digital faces continues in watchOS2. I really don't understand the logic here and why :apple: doesn't give us the option.

I love the solar watchface. Especially now it's summer. tells me how much playtime is left during the day after work :D

I love it too, only I love the weather and activity complications more. If only there was a way to have both
