would you want the next iphone chip to be focused on power saving solely ?

if i get it right ,each node upgrade allows for either more perforamance with the same power consumption,or same performance with less power (up to 20% when going 5nm to 3nm)

out of curiosity,would you want the next iphone to focus on that ? or do you want even more power on this small machine ?

a15 single core,which afaik matters most is already lds

a13 gained both performance and efficiency improvements but one can only wonder what it would have brought ,had it kept the same performance...

displays too have been getting more power efficient lately thanks to samsung new tech (which also makes me wonder whether BOE and samsung oleds have the same battery drain on iphone 13...)

more efficiency also means cooler phone btw
 
I would personally prefer longer battery life as the current A15 is plenty powerful for pretty much anything you could reasonably throw at it. There isn’t any reason right now to have more performance as the software is miles behind. Most people only care about performance because it adds headroom to the device’s longevity in relation to additional software updates.
