Buy yourself a nice vest and pin your Apple watch to it fob watch style.

I have not worn a watch in 15 years or more, so my Apple Watch has no competition when it comes to my wrist. I do admire beautiful mechanical watches though. You could try to wear both, or you could wear the Apple Watch as your everyday watch and then switch to one of your classic mechanical watches at times when you don't need what the Apple Watch can do. I could see wearing the Apple Watch during the day, and then putting on a classic mechanical watch when I go out for the evening... especially if I'm dressing up for a special event. Not that an Apple Watch with the right band can't pair with dressier clothing... just that I'm not likely to need the Apple Watch at a special event or when I am out with friends. Sometimes variety is nice...especially if you have a collection of beautiful watches.

Now if you really want to make a statement: Wear an Apple Watch on one wrist and a 1970's Pulsar LED watch on the other! My father had one of those Pulsars when I was a kid. I think it has something to do with why I find the blank display of the Apple Watch, surrounded by a metal bezel, so appealing. In fact, I would love to have an Apple Watch face that simulates the old red LED digits of the Pulsar just for fun.
Either of these suggestions (the former in particular) would make most of the core functionality of the AW moot. Particularly on the vest.

I've been kind of wanting to get back to wearing my G-Shock watches again. I have two that are new that I bought 1.5 years ago but I rarely wore them. I've been wearing one of them since yesterday and although this was very hard to do, I broke my streak of daily ring completions since December 3rd.

I think I'll take a break from the Apple watch for awhile now. Maybe go and take a look at some newer non smart watches and buy a few.

I actually own an Apple watch and a designer timepiece. I like the Apple watch for functionally and it's my day to day choice.

When I meet customers, have events, etc. I wear my designer timepiece with the Apple watch under my shirt on the same wrist. No one can tell it's there, but my fitness tracking continues. Best of two worlds.

Tough for me as I mainly wear short sleeve and I think it’s looks doucheee to wear both in public. The AW is becoming more and more useful and I hate not wearing it. The Daytona pretty much stays in the safe but I still appreciate it when I can wear it.

If I felt like it I would, if I didn’t I wouldn’t. I don’t care whether anyone else approves. ;)

Don't currently have an Apple Watch (and unlikely to buy one until the battery life is a few days of usage without recharge) - but if I get one I'd have no problem wearing one of my other watches on left wrist and Apple Watch on my right. I normally wear a bracelet on my right anyway, so it wouldn't take much getting used to.

i am an apple fan boy but i see no noticeable value-add to having an apple watch. Apple is getting enough money from me when i buy their useful products.
I am amazed by all the teenagers that have such significant disposable income to buy the apple watch. I am even more amazed that parents would spend that amount of money on items that have limited life because of the constant changing technology.
How many people are in deeper debt because of those kinds of purchases?
The average American does not have 500 dollars for a minor medical emergency.

I have the same sentiment. I own an Apple Watch which I should have returned to Apple but didn't. I have a strong case of buyer's remorse. I see no advantage to it. I consider it to be a distraction when I have had it on. It actually bothers me to wear it.

I tried this. Essentially I was wearing a mechanical watch and the Apple Watch on separate wrists, and I found it to be really unnecessary, even though it does look slightly awkward, I can see how someone would want the fitness tracking and then yet the timekeeping for the mechanical watch, etc. however, I just find it easier to switch the Apple Watch and a mechanical watch for different occasions.

Do whatever makes you happy! If you want to wear 2-3 watches at once, ****ing do it! That's nobody's concern other than your own! Go for it! Wear two watches!
:)
The question was "Would You" not Should I".

while I dont want to fuel the "one watch to rule them all" debate :) I am in the position where I have a minor investment in a collection of quality mechanical watches, where my choice is more for design and elegance than necessarily function or complexity of function (I tend to have little need for a tachometer-slide rule these days!).

Watching with interest the emergence of the apple watch, one thing that strikes me is the extent to which it is as much targeted at the "quantified self" market as the watch market--ie the world of the fitbit, etc. I do wear and use a fitbit and indeed a separate heart rate monitor, so given where the apple watch is going, it seems highly logical that I would replace the fitbit.

However I am still less inclined to want to replace my Tags or Tissots, though.

So I find myself asking why not wear both? I wear a watch on my left hand and a fitbit band on my right now, so why not just replace the fitbit, and use it for all the non-watch functions it brings?

thoughts?

thanks
No I wouldn't.

I feel like if you want to do something, especially if it does not affect others, then go for it. Wear those watches and you own that.

However, the flip side is many people do not have an open mind and may think you look daft. If you don't care, awesome. If you do care (and let's be honest - one of the reasons for a good mech watch is to look good), then I'd avoid it personally.

But you make your own choice, and you do you.
