I have an MBP M1 coming and just wondering if anyone has applied a wrap and more specifically what the experience is when removing the wrap. Was it easy with no permanent issues?
I have not, and I have no interest in doing so. It's largely personal preference, although it can ensure that your device is protected from superficial damage/scratches that could have an effect on the resale value.
Any macbook you wrap will be slightly thermally compromised. The wrapping will lower the metal body's ability to radiate heat and thus the macbook will run hotter.
I've wrapped many of the before in clear skins as well as dBrand skins. The clear skins company I ordered from is no longer in business but they were great. dBrand skins are really nice too and super durable. They aren't hard to get off but it does take a little bit of time to do so.
No wrapping. some minor scratches are already building up. But I also dont intend to sell my computer anytime soon.
Usually I keep it until I just need to update. Hopefully thats far in the future

I put a skin on the top cover. I don't bother with the area around the keyboard or the bottom. I get them from decalgirl.com - they have a lot of great designs. I've removed them from a iPad cover before and it was no issue. I've had one on an ipad cover for quite a while and it's held up really well (not peeling off when I don't want it to) I don't do it to "protect" the laptop - I do it because I like the design and I feel like it gives my laptop/device more personality.
