Wouldn't is be cool if Apple were to put a video input on the iMac which would allow you to utilize the iMacs screen with a ibook, powerbook, or MB/MBP. You could plug your laptop into the iMac and use spaces to switch between the iMac and your laptop. Yeah you could buy their new external display but that takes up room if you already have an iMac to utilize.
i have often had this thought, and realized that it's easiest for me to take my bootable back up drive (i use a WD passport as my backup disk), plug it into my iMac and boot that comp off of that HD, then it's like i'm running my MBP on my iMac. also better desk space usage (for me anyway!)
I saw that I saw that on a post the other day but did not think of it working this way. Does it work well? Have you used it?
Yeah, ScreenRecycler is a great piece of software. it's old stuff but great stuff, along with the VNC client it recommends.
I would like to have HDMI, DVI, eSATA and FW3200 inputs as well. I know those are not going to happen
