I think its time Apple brings their unibody technology from their Macbook lines to the iPhone don't you think?

While they are at it, make the Apple logo on the back of the iPhone light up! (Of course with an option to turn it off?)

I like the concept but is that a removable back battery plate? If so that ruins the design right there. If it isn't those 3 dots gotta go.

Not sexy.
WTH is that button on the side? The power? Ugh.
What's up with the back camera placement?
You can't have a thin phone and a removable battery. Apple has been moving towards the non-removable battery for their thinner electronics. What makes you think they're going to reverse the trend with their phone? Use your brain.

Ewwwww, looks like a fridge door to me.

Thank God, Apple don't let consumers experiment with their designs.

That is not only bad PS work but the black home button is terrible.
no photoshop involved, it's an autocad model. the guy's posted here about it. he's just trying out the larger screen concept in the same shell.

if this came out instead of the iphone 4, you guys would be heaping praise on it and you know it. ;)

I don't much care for that last design- but it does bring up something I have wondered for a while now- why is the facetime camera off center on the iPhone 4?

I don't expect to see a removable battery any time soon. Or maybe ever.

I would love an additional button on the side of the phone if it meant you could assign tasks to it. One click opens the camera, two clicks does something else, etc. Not holding my breathe for that either though.

Woah yo dude chill out. I didn't make the mock up...Just posted it.

:p It does! I'm not sure how I would like that power button being on the side like that, especially when holding the phone on a call when you might hit it.

If they remove the removable battery idea, move the power/lock button back to top and make it thinner, I think it would look fine.

I don't see Apple using glass for the back anymore.

This has to be one of my more favourite mock-ups of the iPhone 5:

^This with specs of a 8MP camera, Dual Core A5 processor, enhanced GPU, 4" screen, plus a revamped iOS. It would be my dream phone.

The only change I'd like would be for it to be slightly wider. Just enough so a case wouldn't cover the edges of the display.

Although at first glance I hated it, I have become very accustomed to the the iPhone 4's flat back. I'd like to stick with that for a while.

All these mockups and I bet you none of them are even close to what it is actually going to look like.

Out of all the mock ups, I like this one the most.

+1 on that!!!

IMHO - I think the the iPhone 5 will retain the current design of the iPhone 4. When they went from 3GS to the iPhone 4, Apple called it a 'Revolution!!

Somehow - can't see them 'revolutionizing' the design again after only 1 year.....

As the OP of this thread I have to say I really like this mock-up better.

You're so right. I remember the posts before de i4 were released saying that they would never buy it, that the metal band around looked hideous, that apple would never release such an ugly phone, that the shape of the 3G would never modified, etc. All based on the pre-gizmodo mockups that were really close and the actual pics of the phone left at the bar.
