eBay

I have a 16GB black iphone 5, with a cracked screen. I started the auction a few days ago with it ending tomorrow evening. I was offered $240 and turned that down. A week or so ago, ones with cracked screens were selling for $325-350. Now they are $300-325.

32GB ones, with no cracks are selling for $400-500

Remember also for the first time that users can spend $199 and get a 32G 5C on contract now. That didn't exist in prior cycles, when only a $99 16G was available. Not to mention, prior cycles didn't have these 1 year upgrade plans from carriers.

Not a good time to be selling... Should sell at least one month before the announcement, or sometime after

I agree. It's a buyer's market right now and flooded with iPhone 5's. After the rush to sell settles, then you might be able to get better offers. The worst time to sell is the week between the new iPhone announcement and when it actually releases.

Case in point: I bought a 64GB Unlocked iPhone 4S on eBay for $275 during the lead up to the iPhone 5 release. Sold it one month later on eBay for $360.

I also feel the worst model to sell before a release is the S models. I can only imagine the prices tanking on the 5S models a week before the 6 comes out. Even more so than the hit the 5 is taking right now.
