Interesting thread! Did anyone with a Mac (Pro) succeeded in doing this? I don't see the difference. What is the correct workflow for achieving this on a non-Retina machine?

What theme is that and how did you apply it? It looks nice.take a screenshot of a part of your screen with it on, and a screenshot of a part of your screen with it off. open them up together, and cycle through them quickly.
you WILL see the difference.

but both those images look blurred. It seems Macrumors, when uploading the picture, downscaled the image, so both of them are blurred.
