Hahahahahaha! Your call. Just sharing my opinions here and I think people need to research a little bit more before they decide. Some people see everyone buying Zagg so they do the same... but I think people should really look for themselves and decide. ;) That's why I try to get all the facts out there and to make people think!

Up to you!!

Well I'll be damned, you advocated the **** out of Wrapsol in this thread, and turns out they are garbage. LOL!

By the way, I bought the wrapsol ultra and if it is oleophobic then I must have something more than just oily fingers.:D That thing collects fingerprints like no other. Not to mention the film was just all kinds of crap when they sent it.

I did order the SGP oleophobic films today and will hopefully get it this next week. I am really hoping it will be similar to the iPhones coating, which is great.

Like I told everyone else, it's my opinion.

Like every other company, Wrapsol made a mistake. Does this sound familiar? Oh yeah... the very Mac thread forum you're on is about Apple, who... by the way, makes mistakes and admitted so yesterday. Who knew?

If you bought Wrapsol and it turned out to be crap, then return it. If you notice everyone who received the badly packaged ones, received free overnighted replacements and are raving about their customer service now. Wrapsol is in-fact the best for protection. ;)

Oh, and no need to be snarky. I'm pretty reasonable. Discuss it civilly and I will return the same respect.

are these wet or dry install?

They can both be installed wet, but the original is wet only and the ultra is intended to be dry. ;)

You can go onto their website for a free replacement or refund. *shrugs*

And if you read the entire thread, we both came to an understanding as to what we see as oleophobic. ;) Take a cloth to your Wrapsol and oil wipes right off.

Don't know why you are saying it is oleophobic though just like the OP. Wrapsol does not advertise it as such. I did read the thread and actually spoke with Wrapsol. They stated that's they are coming out with an oleophobic finger print resistant Ultra film, but it is not out yet. CNET had a news article on it in March. You are right that you can of course wipe fingerprints off, but of course you can do this with most anything. :). I just want to make sure that people are not misinformed, thinking that they will get the same oleophobic quality with this film, that they do with the naked screen.

Back to the main point of the thread, I did order some of these films from SGP and am looking forward to getting them this next week. I am hoping that they will be similar in quality to the naked screen.

i ordered this from SGP and absolutely love it. Really can not tell its on the screen except by looking by the home button.

I'm glad you posted this because I kept reading that wrapsol was "naturally oleophobic" from lorenwade and it was partly why I chose wrapsol over SGP. I had such high expectations but was sorely disappointed that it's not oleophobic at all! Lorenwade, no offense, but I think you are incorrect on this.

Does it feel like the same as the naked, oleophobic screen? How's the fingerprint situation?

Is the feel of the oleophobic screen cover more similar to the crystal or the antifingerprint?

I prefer the smooth, matte feel of the af cover but if the oleophobic provides the same type of fingerprint resistance with increased clarity I might switch over..

Oleophobic has a simple definition: the rejection of fat (oil). Wrapsol does exactly that... oil wipes right off. It doesn't smear like normal plastic would. However, it is different from SGP's oleophobic coating. Different properties, both oleophobic. Wrapsol may not say the word "oleophobic" but it doesn't mean it's not oleophobic, which is called many different things.

Either way, two different screens with very different properties. I admit, I now understand the difference between oleophobic coating and something that is simply just oleophobic (and to how much degree, is also debatable).
