Recently, I gave my wife my iPad Pro after I bought a Macbook 12" on sale. She has an iPad Air 2, which she pretty much exclusively used for games.

When she would go to work, she would always leave it behind and just take her macbook air (which she loves).

However, today I got a text of a photo of her desk - the macbook air on one side, and the iPad Pro on the other.

She's actually using the iPad Pro and pencil to take notes.

I don't think she has the hang of split screen yet, but it's pretty neat to see that she's finding a use for it.

Anyway, just sharing!

That's kind of what happened to me. I used to carry my 9.7 iPad to work all the time, until I got the iPhone 6. Then I found the 6 was "good enough" for mobile use, and the iPad ended up staying home all the time. I then got the 12.9 iPP, and I realized I could actually use it to do work, so it comes with me to work every day.

wow you can afford to buy the pro without knowing if it will get used.

Lol no.

I used it for notes in class and to take to work.

But I'm switching majors and a small, portable computer seems more useful.

Plus just taking 1 computer to work, is better than an iPad Pro and a 15" retina.

I was the same way -before the iPP I would only use my iPad mini for reading and maybe gaming. However I now use my 12.9 iPP all the time for browsing, emails, and taking notes - no more paper notebooks. I also have started playing my old games that I loved again because they look and sound so awesome on this iPad.

I've had my 12.9 inch for a day, fooled around a bit with apps and games.

Didn't really like it for gaming (iPad mini FTW), apps that were optimized for the large screen are pretty nice to use, unoptimized apps were kind of meh.

But the Pencil was so impressive, that I will ditch my paper notebook at work next week, LOL.

The other day I drew a smiley face with my pinky.
The other day I drew a smiley face with my winky.

I pulled the trigger on the 12.9 Pro the day after the Loop you in conference the other week.

I had been thinking about it for a while, but I got a 12% discount via John Lewis, so I did it.

Not regretting it for a min, in fact, I've decided I can live without a laptop and am currently in the process of selling my cMBP & Thunderbolt display.
