To tell ya the truth, the iP6 is just a 5s with a bigger screen! You CANNOT tell me that just 400 points (at the most) more means much in real world use!! What do you guys think?

I think you ordered a 6+, and you don't like that the better reviews are for the phone you won't own. So you're clinging on to anything to help you feel justified. Also, I think this is futile and you should just enjoy what you have and quit these mind games you're playing with yourself.

Well said.

nah, he's getting a 6... according to other posts by the user... theory failed.

You realize that "400 points" represents approximately 15-20% increase in the benchmark? What amount of increase would be sufficient for you?

right, but the 5 to the 5s was almost 100% increase... comparing to that, you can see where someone may feel this release isn't sufficient, although i'm not sure it's realistic to expect that every release... just see where he's coming from.

17% smaller chip, 50% less power usage, 2 billion transistors instead of 1billion. Yup same thing.

Yeah, especially when the majority of MacRumors posters are getting the 6+...

That may be true. Who cares? You do apparently, but just let it go. You chose the phone which you felt was right for you. Good one. Just leave it there. The fact you're popping up constantly with snide comments about people who chose the one with the better reviews and the faster benchmarks is very telling.

It's not too late to exchange! Nobody has to know ;)

Apple finds a way to hook people in for the yearly upgrade past the initial product debut hype. Last year it was the chip enhancements and TouchID, next year it'll be more RAM and a much better processor. The bigger screen (especially the 5.5" model) and NFC were pretty much the only factors about these phones, and yes they got me into buying it due to these.

I bet the 6s will be extremely good from the tech side but lack any real new innovations in the design as they'll stick to interior updates.

It seems like every single review site gets really varied results in benchmarks. CNET's benchmarks had iPhone 6 performing better overall than the iPhone 6+ on their benchmarks and a definite improvement over the 5S.

Oh I did? Did you pay for it? I sure the hell didn't! I am the happy owner of a 5s :)

I never said it was the same. I was talking about CPU benchmarks. But yes, I agree that the A8 is better than the A7 in that respect :)

What "mind games" are you referring? So the benchmarks are lying? I am merely pointing out that the iP6 isn't that much faster in CPU benchmarks. I never said that I am unhappy with my 5s, in fact, I love it and I'm (now) very happy I got it :)

WAIT, I just read more of your comment. "and you don't like that the better reviews are for the phone you won't own." ARE YOU SAYING I DONT OWN A 5S?! WHAT?! How the heck do you know what device I "won't own"? Do you know me? Mom?! :p

I'm still rocking a 5. It's plenty fast.

Right, I feel like my 5 is only just starting to hit its head on its performance ceiling. I see little lags here and there, probably nothing that noticeable to many people who aren't sticklers about this sort of thing. When I turn transparency off, though, it's pretty much perfect smoothness again.

Probably Apple was struggling with the battery life of the phones, so they couldn't make the chips more powerful. Bad thing is the 6 doesn't have much more juice than the 5s. The 6+ is the way to go.
