The issue isn't limited to just Safari though.

Today, I was reading a pdf on notability, then switched to Safari for a while. When I later switched back to Notability, the app reloaded, and flashed a preview of an older pdf (not the current one I was reading) for a while while it was loading.

Nothing embarrassing, but I did find it humorous. If the intent is to create the illusion of speed or seamless task-switching, nothing could be further from the mark here, IMO. :p

Yep, that's the problem! best case scenario: it gives the opposite impression than the intended one. Worst case scenario: it can be embarassing and/or a security issue. Amazing that this bug is still present since ios 7.

Yeah it needs to be fixed ASAP and I'm sure they will address it soon. It seems with 8.3 especially beta 2 they are focusing a lot on UI stuff. They finally fixed the AirPlay menu on ipads and apparently also fixed the folder corner glitch (which has been around for ages).

really? how can you do it on android? my android doesnt show "screenshots" about some last opened applications if i changed the orientation from a portrait view to the landscape for example. could you provide step by step instruction? i would like to try it on android.

this is an example: im now using tapatalk (portrait) and when i close it, then turn my ipad to lanscape mode, open the tapatalk app again, i see a screenshot from my gallery when i was using taptalk on the lanscape mode but closed several hours ago...

it doesnt bother me, but i can understand why it could be a real problem and a security issue.

Sorry, I misunderstood the problem. But I never change orientation anyway lol.

This forum is amazing.... I was aware of this behavior, but I can't really see how this could be considered a problem.
It's an UI "cheat" that under some specific condition can momentarily show an outdated snapshot for a fraction of a second.
First world problem.
