The vast majority of iPhone users in the world have been taking this for granted for a good six months now! I just installed the latest beta of iOS 5, and besides really loving the new notifications, my number one most amazing feature is something GSM iPhone owners have had since the introduction of 4.3: freakin' fast Safari! I knew about the improved performance of the browser that we never got---but since we didn't get it I didn't know what I was missing. Not that Safari was slow before mind you--it's one of the big reasons I dumped my Droid. But the speed difference is just amazing, loading non-mobile pages is a breeze now, maybe a second below iPad browsing speeds! And it didn't take new hardware to accomplish! So laugh GSM users about something you didn't need iOS 5 to experience....but Verizon owners: this is one of great features you're going to get and you are going to love it, even if 6 months too late!
Too bad that show has a ton of it. Suits is witty, but its cheesy. No matter how much I wanted to, I just couldn't enjoy it. And to wait a whole year for the next season is ridiculous.
Yes, that'd be nice if it was universally available. It can be done now on a Verizon phone with SVDO (e.g. the HTC Thunderbolt), and/or any handset if you use VoIP for the voice half. There are also still many places in the USA where AT&T doesn't have 3G coverage, and their customers can't use voice + data at the same time.
Which is much slower, half as fast. So what was your point again? http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2393182,00.asp Now look at Verizons 3G speeds vs ATT's 3G speeds. It's embarrassing. http://www.pcmag.com/Fastest-Mobile-Networks-2011
